Stories of the Albion Online Steppes!

There are the latest more news in UPAlbion.com.

Just published: This week, the level designers were again hard at work on the steppe biome. Not only do they craft little stories for them, but they also create stunningly beautiful or dismal places like the Oasis and the Animal Graveyard you can see in this roundup. In last week’s roundup, we teased that dual swords are coming to Albion soon. For this week, we have an additional animation of the dual swords in action in store for you. You can expect both, the steppe biome, as well as the dual swords, in the final Beta this summer!

Dual Swords: Spin Attack

The new Dual Swords are starting to take shape, with new attacks being animated.

Stories of the Steppes

Want to see more of the steppes after our first look at the biome last Tuesday? Here are more stories from the wastelands!

- Animal Graveyard

“Animals have been coming here for ages, to rest their bones here” Level Designer Denis Armand comments on this morbid scene. “Nobody knows why.”

- Deadly Cliff

Judging by the bones and debris, terrible things happened at this cliff. Be careful!

- Oasis

A gulf of fresh air and water in a desolated region. The oasis is brand new; animals have not yet found their way to it yet, but will surely be flocking the scene soon!

- Midnight Snack

Art Director Marcus Koch found out the hard way not to wander around the steppes all by himself, as he became a delicious midnight snack for a pack of vicious Sabertooth! These animals will be part of the unique fauna of the steppes, and you will not see them in any other biome. More info on the unique mobs per biome will follow in the future!

Albion Online - The New Environment Steppes

Like you see, under the guidance of level designers Lino Claudius & Viktor Pekar, we delve into the steppes.

The steppes are a rough environment. Whereas the swamps are green and full of life, the steppes are a dry wasteland. But there is a glimmer of hope within the badlands; oases pop up every now and then, refreshing everything and everyone surrounding them. If you need hide or fiber, the steppes are the place to be.

Below you will find a few of the steppe scenes created by Lino and Viktor. Feast your eyes!

Road through Hell

As Lino kindly puts it, the steppes are an “unfriendly area to live in”. Setting up camp when travelling through this abyss can be quite dangerous, which is why nomads put up their site near a canyon. They have now moved on, abandoning their camp, and continuing their journey. Or perhaps they just slipped and fell…

Dried-Up River

Once a flourishing river, the water has disappeared and the land has gone dry.

Abandoned Camp

Once used by animal farmers, this camp has been deserted for a while. The remnants of the camp still remain, slowly being taken over by the steppe. It looks like the farmers left in a hurry. What happened here will remain a mystery – but it does make you wonder...

Fall of Death

“Accidents happen – even in Albion,” Viktor commented when showing this scene. The question what events transpired here will not be answered, but it certainly does not look good!

At last, if you want to learn more or need cheap albion online gold? That in UPAlbion.com. Good Luck!

The Presence of Albion Online Laborers

Figuring out how to utilize laborers can be a difficult task for new players, which is why I'm here to explain them for you! The most important and you need to know, laborers are a major feature in one of Albion Online's core mechanics, private islands. Listed below are all of the gathering and refining laborers that you can hire to help you on your journey.

Laborers will give you a journal which they need you to fill for them. Filling the journal can be done by doing the required action depending on the type of laborer you have hired. You can find a list of laborers, how to fill their journals and what they will reward you with below.

Gathering Laborers
This type of laborers are usually the easiest ones to understand as they primarily just do basic gathering for you. The amount of resources that they typically return is somewhere between the 150 and 200.

Mercenary

Refining Laborers
These laborers are a little more complicated than the gathering ones, but should still be pretty easy to understand after I explain what they can do for you. As I'm sure you can guess, these laborers are focused mostly on the crafting side of things.

Blacksmith
Fill journal by using a Warrior's Forge.
